I realize the copyright to Forgotten Realms is owned by WoTC and Hasbro. I not sure if Mr. Salvatore has any say in things involving his characters or not.
I believe that many fans of Mr. Salvatore, and perhaps Mr. Salvatore himself, would love to see a live action movie or CGI animation movie based on his characters.
Developing either of these into anything beyond a dream would involve a large amount of money.
In order to convince the copyright owners that such a venture would be worth their while in creating extra awareness of their brand as well as financially would the administrators be willing to run a poll on here and the other related websites asking if fans would be willing to donate to the making of a visual adaptation of the works? i.e. using something like Kickstarter.com
Maybe that would convince WoTC and Hasbro to make something.
Just an idea.
