Dec 6 10 6:51 PM Buffalo Herder	Tags : None Remove this ad Once again there are holidays abounding in the world, and people will sometimes celebrate with their buddy Al Cohol at parties. I'm hoping that everyone out there who invites Al to party with them will be safe and be sure that someone who is sober and sane drive them around that night. Other than that I hope everyone has a safe and happy December/January time. Earth is the insane asylum for the universe.

Dec 7 10 11:56 AM Buffalo Herder	I try to do it every year Marge, just usually I'm less blunt about it and make it more about the holidays. This year is sort of not making me a very happy holiday type person though so I figured I'd get straight to my point. Very few things bother me as much as someone deciding to not only take their life and well being into a danger zone, but endangering countless other innocent people at the same time. I mean if you want to spend time in the emergency room or off yourself while you're drunk, don't send other people there with you. Earth is the insane asylum for the universe.

Years and years ago, I had to sit on the side of the road after my girlfriends car was rammed by a drunk driver. Unfortunately, she died before the ambulance was able to get there. Drunk driver had a broken finger. My uncle was killed in front of my mother by a drunk driver. Before I was born. My would be uncle was 8 at the time. Dec 7 10 12:34 PM Ancient and Venerable One	Laethyn, how horrible! Why is it that the ones who get killed or maimed are the innocent, while the drunk driver walks away with barely a scratch? And why can someone take another person's life and only get a slap on the wrist? Having one's license revoked for drunk driving should be permanent, not a mere 30 days; and there should have been significant jail time for the creep, too. Drunk driving resulting in loss of another person's life should be charged as vehicular manslaughter at the very least!

Dec 24 10 11:14 PM Buffalo Herder	Remove this ad Bumping this up because someone out there this evening needed to read this. Luckily everyone is ok as far as we know, but this evening my mom was working (driving a city bus) and a lady who admitted she had been drinking, came around the corner and trashed the bus all up the side. The woman says that she "didn't see the bus" and admits that she had been drinking, but blew low enough on the machine that she didn't get officially written up for it. Just don't do it people... it's not worth it. Earth is the insane asylum for the universe.

After my father had enough of us three in the backseat of the car, he would just reach back and flail his hand to punish us. I now laugh when thinking about it. If you haven't seen it, it's a movie from the mid-late 80's with Mark Harmon, and you really should check it out. "The reason people can't drive drunk, is because they haven't learned to drive drunk". I'm not condoning the quote, but it works for the movie. Mar 19 13 7:33 AM Trouble Maker	Remove this ad At the end of January I had shoulder surgery on my right shoulder. After the surgery the doctor told me I was not allowed to drive for 4 weeks because any quick jerky actions with my arm may cause damage to the work they just did. I was able to move the shoulder as I wanted slowly with a rule of "let pain be your guide". Well, I made it 5 days before I was driving and on that first adventure after surgery, I was texting with that arm while driving. I figured if I can't have my hand on the wheel, I may as well make it work for me......going down the highway at 63 texting some clients that I would be there in 10 minutes. At that next appointment I told the doctor that it was very convenient that I had a hand to text and email while driving...she didn't think that was funny. I am actually surprised my wife didn't take all the car keys away.
