My parents once convinced me (when I was real young) that a Jalepeno was a pickle. Ever since then I take shots of hot sauce in the morning with my eggs and bacon. Like, shotglass shots... I go thru my pepper sauces so fast my other half now sends me care packages of nothing but pepper sauce. I can't get good sauces down here at the local store (except the cuban market and thats too far of a drive for me to warrant it for just pepper sauce...)
So I may be biased when it comes to spicy stuff. I don't have taste buds for anything non-spicy (except like candy and junk food snack-cake type things...). Oh, and I eat wasabi raw whenever the mood hits me right.
I think maybe I'm begging for stomach issues later in life, but I love my spices.

Edit: In retrospective, is it child abuse for my parents to have tricked me into eating the pepper causing me much pain? Or is that outweighed by the fact that I still eat them now? Either way when I look at it, it was pretty cruel... but probably funny on their end.
