Yuku free message boards

Thank you BEAST for any mental images that might have been conjured up by your post, I shall go tell the boyfriend to cancel my order for grilled cheese as I no longer have an appetite.

It's a message board, you have the ability to scroll and click as it pleases you. On the other hand, it's a message board and some view it as a way to practice their writing/debating skills and so some posts are going to be works of written art (or in some cases, wordy tangents that someone took the time to type).

Putting a word/character count on posts could possibly be detrimental to the message boards and English language as we know it. Forcing a character count could lead to chatspeak being used in a post which many of us find annoying and more difficult to read than a regular post. (U no who U R!!! LOL!!!11!!) Part of the joy (or pain) of being on a message board centered around an author is that it tends to attract literate people more than it attracts the sort of morons who think that the way of the world is going to end up being just like the phrase I just typed, which leads to intelligent conversations taking place and even some interesting (or not) and heated debates. To impose a word count would just lead to more short posts instead of one long one.

In short if you don't care to take the time to read a long post, you probably don't care enough about the subject so it's no big loss to the author for you to skip it.
