Good question. Quite a few of these options require us to have coin. And neither Visa, nor MasterCard, nor American Express, nor cold, hard cash from our world would be so readily accepted, I should think.

Head to the Dales and spend some time with The Knights of Myth Drannor. That group of folks are amazingly powerful, and are highly amusing.

Agreed. I started to mention them as an option, but they somehow managed to slip my mind - as did an expedition to the Ivy Mansion for a visit with the Harpells. The latter would not be very appealing to me, however. lol.

Well, since you are here on this board - with us lot - of your own free will, I'd say odds are you would.

If so we'd rally the useful bunch and send the rest of yous packing .

First, who said you'd be in charge? And useful for what in your mind? Some of us have military training and some Martial skills (as I do, whether you believe or disbelieve), whereas others are experienced campers like yourself, still others are good at such skills as fencing, some could make some coin with art work, and a host of other useful things, which you are blissfully unaware of - particularly among the lurkers, I'm sure.

And would I have anything with me? I usually carry around a pack with all manner of useful goods for camping and the like, and a knife or three, so at least I'd be somewhat prepared. That, and I'm not entirely too familiar with the Realms themselves, so that might make things difficult.

All the more reason for you not to presume leadership. Anyway, some roleplayer or other among us probably has a map from which he/she has gleaned extensive knowledge of the land. We might be okay in that respect.

But I'd probably look for a well-traveled road, ambush the next likely target for some moneys and pertinent clothing, and make my way somewhere to get a beer and a more adequate weapon.

Yeah, I noticed that We part a bit belatedly, I admit. I didn't know that it's considered a "yoke" in Scandanavia, though. :)

Oh, I don't know. Who am I to determine something like that, since I wouldn't be the one responsible for transporting us there? How did we all end up there in the first place, is what I wanna know. Perhaps that would be a mystery in and of itself. And no, I wouldn't stand there arguing all day and night with BEAST about it, either. lol.

Anyway, what part of the Realms would we be transported to? Hopefully not Calimport... or Menzoberranzan, for cryin' out loud! Wouldn't want to be caught out on the open tundras of Icewind Dale, either. So, okay, what if we ended up in Silverymoon? That leads me straight to my primary objective, which is to go among the locals and ask when and how I might be granted an audience with Lady Alustriel. I got a thing for her anyway, as far as fantasy babes go. But, assuming my wife and my daughter weren't transported along with us, I'd be forced to keep it professional with the Lady of Silverymoon: That is, I'd have to settle for explaining to her exactly what happened, along with my personal situation and responsibilities, and end by asking if it was within her power to send me back home.

If I was still single and childless, however, I think I'd roll with BEAST. We could hitch a ride to Mithral Hall, see if Bruenor and Co. could put us to work, make some coin. Drizzt could advance my moderate combat skills beyond anything I could imagine - if he was willing, that is. But housing ALL of us would be a real problem, if the whole board chose to stick together. Good lord, we're talking about a fair-sized army here, folks!

But yeah, Nan would be good to have around, if he was packing at the precise moment that we all got transported. Who knows what moment that would be, though? What if some of us had been taking a shower at the time, for example... or taking a dump... or any number of unfavorable circumstances when the spell took effect? Brings a whole new meaning to "don't get caught with your pants down," doesn't it? lol.

But how far can 13 rounds get you? I typically don't care a second mag unless I am going shooting.

Who knows? It might get us past the first round of the Playoffs, at least. :) Seriously, it all depends on the situation and the location, of course. If we found ourselves in the midst of a woodland setting, you could hunt some wild game for us, Drey could make a fire, and we could sit down to some venison. 'Course that wouldn't stretch too far, considering the massive quantity of mouths to feed - not to mention the distinct possibility of elves accosting us with bows and arrows from hidden vantages in the trees all around us! They'd probably think we were some kind of invading force come to take over their territory, having literally just popped in out of nowhere.

*shrugs* I was thinking of Absinthe myself. I get this picture in my head of a similar reaction from Abs as when Jessica Alba, as the Invisible Girl on The Fantastic Four, blinked back into visibility in the midst of a crowd in just her bra and panties... Ohhhh, LAWD!!
