Well I put in my zip code. I don't see what the big deal is really. I mean it's not like they asked for my whole address or even my Social Security

Be careful. The whole thing is a ruse. Caity is going to hunt down anyone who trash talks any of her dads books and kill them. That's why she was asking
for the zip code. It's just easier for her to hunt you down that way.

I tried to take the survey, but refues to fill out the annual income area, thus it wouldn't continue.....so I quit.
bummer for them.

You could've put a false income in? I don't see why that would make you not finish the survey, they didn't ask for any other personal info.

What is the issue with giving your zip code? How is giving that out, something to be concerned over? I dont understand. Its not like it asked for your address
or phone number.

personally, I think people take the whole "my privacy!!!" stuff way to far sometimes.Wern't you the one so outspoken and against on the whole "phone-tap" thing 4 years ago. Now you have the nerve to make it sound like privacy isn't a big thing. I honestly don't have any issues with most forms of privace. If anyone want's to know where I live, or what my name is....fine, I will tell you. But when someone wants to know my yearly income...that's a little too much. You could've put a false income in? I don't see why that would make you not finish the survey, they didn't ask for any other personal info.Yes I could have, but wouldn't that be giving false information in a survey, thus making any information that comes out of this survey incorrect?
What is the issue with giving your zip code?Zip codes give a specific region of a city or state. Like I know for sure that anyone with a 98005 zip code is from Bellevue Washington. People with a 99362 Zip code are from Walla Walla Washington....and 99364 from College Place Washington and 99360 from Touchet Washington. I'm tellin' ya. Caity wants it so she can hunt people down. Freakin' dangerous woman ... I swear.LOL. All I can say is that she better come better armed that I am.

I gave all kinds of conflicting answers. Messing with statistics is fun. I may just take the survey a good 20 more times just to skew the curve. I buy tons of
plastic bottles and don't recycle! I love this design but wouldn't buy it! I strongly disagree with how this will save me time cleaning, yet love the
fact that its easy to clean!

Meh, it's just a rule of thumb. A zip code is pretty specific location information. I'll give out a city, but not a zip. Especially if I don't know
where the info is going. I saw no privacy statement on the page, so I don't know who they can give it to.
But I'm also one of those annoying people who wont give out my phone/address to a company unless there is a good reason for them to have it. Like when you get a grocery store discount card or something and they ask for your address... They don't need that. The only possible reason they want it is to send you spam. Thanks, but I'll just have a quick chat with the manager to get that information waived and save some trees. I'm sure people roll their eyes. I don't care. Now, in the case of this survey, there is actually a good marketing reason for them to get my zip, but without knowing where it's going... They don't need it that badly. |

Because its a marketing survey. Nothing I say or do on said survey will affect the end result they're looking for. And for every false entry I make (1) there are going to be many where people answer seriously, thus essentially making my survey null. IF on the off chance my data throws whatever decision they're going for off, then they need a better control group or don't understand demographics.

It's actually not simply a marketing survey.
It's a survey put together by Bobs daughter for her business class at school. If this were one of those silly surveys I get in my email umpteen times a day, I'd say have at it, but this was specifically put together for a study being done by the child (lol it makes me laugh that the people on facebook are calling her "ma'am")of a friend. Seems like a difference, to me. To each their own I suppose.
