Ok, warriormasta, i have three questions!
First, You said feat,skills etc applicable to the FR setting are ok. So, does this mean that we can use all the fr supplement books, like races of faerun, silver marches and the like? I personally am aiming for playing a half-drow character

Third, about the assigning the initial points for abilities to the characters, I personally favorise the more, the better, the harder! Meaning more points for abilities, more diversity and giftedness of the characters=more power, more tougher opponents and harder adventures. This is my personal favorite, if it can be taken into a count, great, if not, I`ll go with whatever you say.

Whoa, didn't realize we would be getting into detail here... but since you've asked...

Let me first let you know where I'm coming from. Initially, my intention was to get an FR game going with PCs with superior fighting skills (but not epic, meaning PCs are still killable lol!) as compared to the normal adventurer who has to alot so much time and trouble in levelling up. With this high level setup, the PCs will have more options in terms of a variety in opponents, skills and feats, weapons, etc. and could concentrate more on the gaming aspect of the pen and paper play specifically in character development, revealing plots and conflicts, map exploration, different approaches to attacking an opponent, things you cannot concentrate on with low level play.

I've posted a 'prologue' of the mini-adventure that I had in mind and the rules that we'll follow: Portside Prowlers: a d20 Dungeons and Dragons mini-adventure

To answer your questions:
1. Yes we'll be using all FR supplement books although I'm not giving much weight on 'Faiths and Panteons' since I wouldn't like the PCs to be god and deity dependent most of the time. Most of the stuff we'll be using can be found on 3.5 Core Rulebooks.

2. The year of play will start at 1368 DR "Year of the Banner". Half-drow is interesting...

3. We'll be using the character generator found at: http://www.pathguy.com/fr.htm while incorporating all FR supplement materials which is not included in the generator program. I'll do my best to make the game as detailed but simple as possible. We'll try to run a series of mini-adventures (minis) to get the blood pumping and dice rolling. So expect light to medium level of opponents at the start. Don't worry, I'm not a sadistic GM. Since the characters would start at Level 14, we'll limit the minis to 4 players. Main reason is faster gameplay, and player rotation if ever. Once a mini finishes, some active PCs can be rotated with the non-active PCs.

I'll admit, this is my first stab at running a D&D 3.5 adventure online, so please bear with me as we get the game going. I'm no writer so most of the things I'll be writing are just the ones I've prepared on top of my head or some tailored adventure that's found online. I really hope that we could kickoff this thing in the next 7 days. Any questions, comments and helpful suggestions are more than welcome.

I have tried it but it seems that i am not good at running games online so I will leave it to you. I am very tempted to join an FR game, but i know that i will be a unstable player with times were i wont be online much, And that is a real game killer, online in my experience.

That will really be a good help for the gaming aspect. Just to finalize things regarding mechanics, I'll be posting something up on the adventure thread itself.

We are still in need of 2 more PCs. From the looks of it probably a cleric or paladin/fighter of some sort and a spellcaster. We can multiclass anyway. So if you could go online once a day or every other day at the very least, you are very much welcome to join our party. :)

Just so you know from friday I am going to the great natural outdoors, mountains deep and I`ll be coming back sunday, but given the fact that I am 10 hours ahead of you I do not forsee that that should be a problem, by the time I get home, it will be noon where you guys live :) Waiting on the said mechanics with much enthusiasm!

Mechanics are posted. Should I email you the zipped character generator to make it easier for you? WistfulRogue and I are colleagues and on GMT +04:00. I'll be definitely posting everyday or every other day at the very least. Once I've received and evaluated the 4 PCs, then we can start.
