Here, let me make this clear, once and for all:

If you curse in a post, your post will be edited for such content. If you wish to then complain that your post makes no sense, then perhaps you should rethink the language you use in your posts.

It is not the job of either myself, or Beezer, to edit your post for content that clearly breaks the rules on the boards, while maintaining the readability of your post. It is up to you, as a poster/board member, to structure your post so that such editing is not needed (ie no profanity).

No, mg, I did not say that it is up to us to create a misrepresentation of what you post should you break the rules. Knowing the rules, you are knowingly posting something that will, in all likelihood, be edited for profanity. Meaning, you know full well that those words will be removed.

Or, think on it this way: if you curse and the profanity filter catches it, well now, your post no longer makes sense. The word you typed has now been replaced by nonsensical symbols. Does that mean the filter should be disabled as well?

See now CM, you are now posting such things for the mere sake of posting them, to try and "prove your point".

How 'bout this? Don't use language on the boards you shouldn't be using, and you will never have to worry about your post being edited. It really is as simple as that. Follow the rules, moderation/administration is transparent. Don't follow the rules, and your posts are subject to being edited.

That's the way the boards have been run since this incarnation. That's the way it shall continue.

Chnaging a cuss word to another descriptive is not changing the meaning of the post. Here is an example, taken from one of CMs recent posts:

That is not what I would do, and no one would change the post to:

That is changing the intent of the post. This was not done, nor has it EVER been done.

If it were me, I would change it to:

Not my job to edit the meaning of the post, just the words that shouldn't be there. if it changes the meaning of the post, again, perhaps put a little more thought into the post before hitting "Add Reply".

All that said, mg, have you ever seen a post edited by either Beezer, or myself, that was done with the intent to alter the meaning, or the content deliberately, and in an attempt to be malicious?

There has never even been a hint of this occuring, so the basis for the whole thread seems a little off to me.

To be honest, yes, I could have chosen a different way to respond. However, the nature of the initial post is, or can be construed as, accusing either myself, or Beezer, of intentionally misleading board members by editing peoples posts. An accusation (whether it truely was one or not is besides the point) such as that is quite a serious one, IMO. And highly insulting, quite frankly.

And please provide examples of when I edited posts in the past based on personal feelings.

You can state I did as much as you want, but if you cannot provide real world examples, it's much more difficult to learn from my mistakes.
