I'm devouring Robin Hobb's Ship of Magic (its excellent, as if I needed to tell anyone). Next will probably be Mad Ship, but I may turn around and finish up Stephen King's biggest Dark Tower tie-in books (I've got Black House and Hearts in Atlantis to go, since I just finished Insomnia).
After that I'm not so sure. I may stick with Stephen King (Eyes of the Dragon is on its way), but also someone convinced me to try Janet Evanovich, and her Stephanie Plum series. |

I'm reading Dragons of Autumn Twilight, too. About halfway through and I think it's pretty good thus far.

If you are going to read the Vampire Chronicles, Anarion, you might want to start with Interview with a Vampire. I believe Blood and Gold is partially a Lestat book. I don't think it is totally necessary to begin at the beginning of the series, but you'll probably get a better sense of what is happening if you do.

Currently reading two books, off and on: Grey Knights by Ben Counter, and One Thousand Orcs by R.A. Salvatore. The latter book is really intriguing so far, I must say, despite all the criticism from other fans it has received to date. Personally, I don't see a problem at all.
So far, so good. As for the first book I mentioned, that is quite the good read, as well. I recommend this one, because it kind of reminds me of Star Wars combined with something like .. oh, I'd say the Dragonlance saga. I say that because of the way it was written, but it could just as easily be compared to books written about the Forgotten Realms, too. ![]() "Remember what it means to be broken and laid low. The mark of a leader is not whether you can avoid such misfortune, but whether you can take it and turn it into something that makes you stronger. Your battle-brothers are dead, but you can ensure that their lives had meaning. That is what it means to lead." -- Ben Counter |
