Reading The Gathering Storm by Jordan/Sanderson. Love getting back to the characters but it's kinda like seeing the Grateful Dead with out Jerry. I gotta say this though, it seems Sanderson does have the ability to move the story.
Ill say. I hate to rag on my favorite deceased author, but it would have taken him 2-3 more books to gets as much done as Sanderson did in this one book, and we all know it. Jordan at some point got too caught up in making sure every last syllable he wanted in his story was there, right down to the downright unnecessary unimportant details. You can almost skip book 10 completely and not miss anything important. More happened in the prologue to book 11 than all of book 10 combined, but then book 11 was slow too.
for the record, I loved the gathering storm
