What is everyone else here currently reading?
Myself, I am currently reading Assasin's Apprentice, by Robin Hobb, and I am greatly enjoying it. Far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong with the older tried & true fantasy series.

I am forced to read summer reading for school and they pick the stupidest books.
I have to read Troy, not the movie version but the historical version. I have fallen asleep 3 times already and I started it this morning. "You can win a thousand battles but you can only lose one." -Zaknafein |

Currently reading volume 4 of the Elric saga by Michael Moorcock, The Vanishing Tower.
Recently finished reading, The Demon in the Mirror by Richard Lyon & Andrew Ouffutt (it wasn't that great) And, for my daily commute, I am listening to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire book-on-tape. The HP books-on-tape are excellent, Jim Dale is an incredible reader. -- Paul |

I recently finished Pratchett's Guards! Guards! I thought it was a very funny, quick read.
Currently reading another of his books Jingo, and I'm enjoying it very much as well. And I've put my name on the library list to check out The Life of Pi to read next. |

Putting the finishing touches on Long for this World, the first novel of a former college professor of mine named Michael Byers. Also almost done with Robert Jordan's The Dragon Reborn, and I must say I'm sorry to hear the horror stories of how the latter half of the series takes a turn for the worse, as I've enjoyed the first three books thus far. And last night I read George R.R. Martin's graphic novel version of The Hedge Knight, but unfortunately it did little to satiate my appetite for book four of ASOIAF.
Next up is The Briar King, by Greg Keyes. I've been meaning to read this for a while now, and luckily I found the hardback edition at Media Play for five bucks. |

Currently reading Dragons of Winter Night by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. The books are fantastic. Next up is the Legends series with the Twins. Can't wait. Favorite book to date would have to be Greyhawk, Saga of Old City by Gary Gygax.

I'm reading The Sword of Bedwyr by RAS, and I am also trying to get through Dragons of Winter Night.
Then at last his gaze was held: wall upon wall, battlement upon battlement, black, immeasurably strong, mountain of iron, gate of steel, tower of adamant , he saw it: Barad-dr, fortress of Sauron. All hope left him. -- The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien

I am reading the first book in the Forgotten Realms mini series The Priests: Lady of Poison by Bruce Cordell. It's alright, not great but not terrible. The writing seems really choppy. Can't wait for the next book which will be written by Dave Gross.

Reading 'The Disappearance of Odile' by Georges Simenon and a book of short-stories by a Norwegian author I doubt anyone here has ever heard of (Tor Ulven).
Next up, I'll probably read either 'The First Men in the Moon' by H. G. Wells or 'Otherland: City of Golden Shadow' by Tad Williams. |

Just finished book 3 in the Elric saga. Would like to finish that series but I am currently having a hard time finding the rest.
Right now though I am reading Green Angel Tower (Memory, Sorrow & Thorn series) by Tad Williams. The first 2 books SUCKED IMO but everyone says the third was great so I worked though it. On page 348 of 1000+ and so far everyone was right it is better. Still not worth trudging through the first two yet. |

Justine by Marquis de Sade and Cleric Quintet (currently on Fallen Fortress).
Reading these two at the same time has been rather taxing on my morals. Each world conflicts with each other. And after reading Sade for a while and going back to the Snowflakes, I keep expecting Cadderly to tie Danica up to a tree naked and beat her to unconsciousness. |

This is gonna make me sound like a dumb*** but because I couldn't find it around here new I just assumed you couldn't get it new. So I never even bothered to check Amazon. As far as used I don't like to go through Amazon because I can't see the book and I'm somewhat particular.
But I will look and see if I can find it new at Amazon Thanks |

Dragons of Autumn Twilight by Weis and Hickman. I'm only 6 chapters in, but its pretty good so far.
I still have to get to the library for Child of the Prophecy by Juliet Marillier. I read the other two books in the Sevenwaters Trilogy and they were excellent. I reccommend them! : ) ~Dala Now it seems I'm fading. All my dreams are not worth saving. I've done my share of waiting. And I've still got nowhere else to go. Currently I'm in the middle of re-reading all of RAS's work that I have. I'm trying to read The Cleric Quintet and The Legacy at the same time. Very fun with kids running around. :| When I get through The Lone Drow this time, I'll probably pick another of the series I have sitting on my shelves. Just waiting until October, ya know?
