I heard that Hasbro was shopping it around in Hollywood and I was just checking to see how that is going. Also, I was wondering if there were any choice picks for the actors to possibly play the parts of the characters that you brought to life and have gotten all of us to know and love. Are there any other books that you have written that are currently being looked at? I am a huge movie fan and own over 1000 movies, and I read quite alot of books and can honestly say, I look forward to getting your books when they come out and actually take the release dates off of work so that I can sit down and read them uninterrupted.

This brings me to my question; in that you work in shared world fiction I was wondering what your reaction is to this article and legal battle. Both times having been times of war and uncertainty, people enjoyed being able to give evil a recognizable face. It seems as if people want/ed a polarized view of good and evil to hold up against faceless fears and the like. I saw you mention that audiences have grown past the usual paradigms that define orcs as bad. Do you think that this more mature crowd has moved past the need to put a recognizable face to the "bad guy"? Do you think that some of the questioning of direction taken with Obould might be an example of that need being shown?

I've recommended your work to my friends only to have them come back and say; "Thank you" in their own sort of "Damn you for getting me hooked on another series!" kinda way. My Questions are: 1. What server do you play on WoW? And whats your favorite race/class? (I won't ask your characters name :P ) 2. - This isn't a question but me pleading.... please write more about and involving Entreri! (I know you've hinted about it...) The humor, suspense and character development in the latest books is amazing and addicting. 3. Do you know if Sellswords part 1 : Servant of the Shard will be released in hardback with the Todd Lockwoods art? Beezer asked my main question on how you will write the Champions of the Hall with the Spellplague coming up. I believe most of my questions will be answered with the book releases in late 2008 and 2009 so I think I can twiddly my thumbs until then. Thanks again for all that you do! Throughout the book it seems (to me anyway) that Tos'un is 'working things out' regarding where he wants his place to be in the world through his dialogue with Khazid'hea. He apparently gets a measure of mastery over the sword and decides that he wants to stay with the elves... To me this is interesting because Khazid'hea is one pretty tough customer... it practically made Catti-brie its puppet, and it took over Dellie. I have been thinking about what this means. Would this mean that Tos'uns decisions are more 'honest'... like did it bring the 'truth' out of him? Or... does it just indicate that Tos'un has his own mind and is capable of living in a more 'people friendly' manner and so is capable of adapting to his new life (showing that he is an atypical drow)? Or something else...? hehe its 3am here in Aussieland so i hope i have asked this qn properly... brains do funny things at these hours. Actually... when is my brain ever working right....? lol. nevermind me... Edit: if i can add these while theres still time... 1) Not sure if you have been asked this before... but is there any extra information that you can share with us about Khazid'hea? (I know you will like to keep your secrets but im not sure if we will be seeing much more from it in future...) 2) What was the inspiration behind this sword? I only ask because every time i read about the sword it reminds me of the red light sabres used by the Sith with its fine lazer edge and evil, corrupting presence (w.r.t. the Sith being evil that is...) . And i remember you are involved in the StarWars world so i thought there may be something there :-) Thank you SO much for answering all the questions. Its a privilege to be able to interact with the author of the books i admire so much :-) Perhaps by the time you have another interactive i will have read the Demon Wars series... which i havnt touched yet!! I thought he was a great character and its nice to see a good giant for once. 3) If asked would you write a book for Blizzard and World of Warcraft? So far I don't mind Christie Golden's ones from them. The Richard Knaak ones are good but I can see other people's point on how he makes his characters seem immortal and too powerful. 4) Don't know if its been asked but do you play WoW (Don't reveal what server unless you want to crash one on purpose ^_~)? What characters do you have? Are you a Roleplayer? I have the fortune of playing on Shadow Council which was revealed to be Christie Golden's realm. That being said I would like to say thank for this opportunity for us to ask our questions. Thank you for allowing all of us to pummel you with questions about your work, personal live and views of the world. It is always enjoyable to read them. It has also been nice to see you more active on the boards. I am sure we all hope it continues. But I now have a question. As feeble as it is.......I just thought of it while writing this post..... Are there any words that you continually misspell, have to look up in the dictionary or use spell check on? I am sure you have read enough of my posts to know that I am a bad speller, but a lot of my misspellings are really typo's..............sure they are Nan. Second, I'd be remiss if I didn't ask to see more of Jarlaxle and Gromph....I should just put this in my signature, as I ask it every time. Now then, for the question: It has been said, that you have said (kind of a grape vine thing) that Cadderly is the most powerful character you've every created. Putting him aside, (as well as the epic level Paladin King, the monk, etc) who would you say is your most capable character/biggest bad ass/guy you would want on your side? Often, I have dreams about building elevations, floor plans, building sections, wall details, etc... When I have these dreams, I am usually quite restless and don't feel very well rested the next day, but I usually figure out a building issue that has been bothering me for a while in these dreams too.
